Hydraulics & Hydrology

The hydrologic area in the GI-1716 team, has been working since its foundation, trying to achieve an Ecosystem Management of water resources, with the aim of obtaining a good estimate of the existing resources, and a proper planning to balance the needs of water in the conservation of natural ecosystems.

In addition, our works in this area are also related to water management in many different aspects and in its subsequent applications, such as: water in soil and irrigation water management, study and modeling of surface and groundwater hydrology, planning irrigation schemes, waste-water management in rural areas, application of geophysical study of sub-soil water, water erosion, systems postage for ictiofauna techniques, among other projects.
